Quick Hits

From the "I'll never pitch in the major leagues again" department, David Ray Griffin talks about his recent medical problems, and closes with this:
And so I am recovering. Whether I will do much intellectual work in the near future remains uncertain at this time.

Why would anybody think otherwise?

Building Wut appears to have stalled out. There's been no news from that quarter for almost a month now, and checking the website reveals that contributions have been stuck on $88,000 for about a week. When this whole thing started I wrote that it was the latest fiasco waiting to happen; nothing recently has changed my mind on that score.

Don't worry, Dr. Griffin. You've proven that the same crap can be recycled indefinitely. You place in history next to Jim Garrison is secure.

OT:

This radio show interviewed Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer about Afghanistan - he was involved with intelligence over there.

He calls for a new investigation into 9/11 (and admits he has many friends who are truthers, though doesn't agree with everything they7 say).

Hmm. Was not sure of his credentials after that.

There is little said about the 9/11 'conspiracy', but you may be interested:

As best as I can understand LTC Shaffer's only concern is promoting the career of LTC Shaffer. I am curious to read his book, but not enough that I would spend money on it. I was amused by some of the Amazon reviews, pointing out that he made really bizarre statements like referring to the battalion G2, even though battalions don't have G2's, something any intel officer would know.

I am also wondering how he is still in as a LTC after 9 years. Normally you are either promoted or retired after that long.

He also bitches about having his security clearance suspended. If that is still the case, he can't working in MI anymore.

Once again... where's the money? What happens if they can't reach their goal? Will there be refunds? Do Richard Gage and NYCCAN still get their 5%? Does this money even exist?
