Jones' Overunity Device

It seems extremely unlikely that something so simple could possibly be creating power, and there's no real way the purported extra power could be coming from the Earth's magnetic field, as Jones was talking about at 9-11 Flogger.

It's been a long time since I did the Physics of Electricity and Magnetism; could it simply be that Jones has charged up the capacitor (which acts as a storage battery), and then when he reduces the power from the AA battery the power in the capacitor is released, and hence he gets the Pout>Pin that he's claiming?

The probability that he is actually realizing an apparent efficiency of 8 is vanishingly small. My guess is that there are measurement/calculation errors. Perhaps the phase relationship between output voltage and current is being misrepresented/misunderstood.

Here is something that I found on a site called "overunity.com" I haven't looked at the site carefully, so I won't infer the obvious.

So, here's a thread discussing Jones's invention. Down a couple posts the site administrator posts comments from someone critical of Jones's experiment:
"This is a nice demonstration of measurement error based delusion. Stray circuit and scope probe inductance cause invalid measurements. Clean-up the measurements and the illusion of over-unity will disappear."

This is suggesting that the problem with Jones's experiment is sloppy experiment design.

"...in the interest of accuracy." -- Steven E. Jones

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

%^)

First of all, the idiot who masquerades as a "professor of physics" built an analog circuit on a digital patch board. That's a big no-no as any competent EE will tell you.

The first rule of breadboarding an analog circuit is to reduce all stray inductance and capacitance to a minimum, which is not possible--and is in fact maximized--using a digital patch board.

If Jones used a fiberglass breadboard clad on one side with a solid-copper ground plane and reduced all resister, transistor, oscilloscope probe, capacitor and toroid lead lengths to an absolute minimum his observed "over unity" phenomenon would vaporize before his incompetent eyes. (E.g., soldering all electrical component ground leads directly to the solid-copper ground plane is essential; however, you can see that Jones paid no attention to the fundamentals of analog breadboard layout).

As I recall, it's also possible to use an oscilloscope's CRT as a "memory" to generate all kinds of "interesting" waveforms. E.g., years ago, I witnessed the demonstration of a "heart-shaped waveform" that, if real, proves that electricity can run "backward in time."

Of course, it's all flim-flam, and Steven Jones, who should know better, is either an idiot or a con man.

My vote, you ask? He's a con man.

"...there are 1500 credentialed architects and engineers."

Another lie.

Pool, HVAC, and sanitation "engineers" and a handful of technical writers, to say nothing of every ass-clown with a subscription to Architectural Digest, don't qualify as "credentialed architects and engineers."

Furthermore, there are over 600,000 real scientists and engineers who live in the United States--and I'm a member of that select group. Thus, 1,500 alleged "architects and engineers" (even if the 1,500 number was true, and it's not) make up less than 0.25% of the scientific and engineering community.

[1,500]/[600,000] * 100 = 0.25%

Thus, Gage's alleged "1,500 architects and engineers" doesn't rise to the level of statistical significance.

Once again, you FAIL.

(NOTE: The goat fucker's comment should be removed for 2 reasons: [1] the claptrap about "1,500 architects and engineers," which we've examined repeatedly, is readily verified nonsense; and [2] the comment is off-topic and wholly irrelevant to Jones' latest fraudulent experiment.)

This is called "Zero Point Energy" and it is theorized NOT to come from the Earth but resonant energy present in the entire universe. Basically we are in a sea of energy so from our reference point we cannot "see" it since it's all around us.

Most likely the interface is with the 4th dimension (time/space) and is governed by electro magnetics with an anti-gravity side effects in some cases.

What the circuit does is pulse the resonant ambient EM waves to kick out energy through the capacitors. Since this energy is infinite the output is only limited by the equipment size and frequency used.

If you want more detailed info on this suppressed since, check out Tom Bearden's site:

http://www.cheniere.org

Many device have been patented using overunity circuits and one that comes to mind right away is Westinghouse's (3,239,771) used on the Minute Man Missiles.

Here's an actual device schematic built on Bearden's work:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zh_C3yvJH0

Tesla was working on this stuff and demonstrated it in various ways. In one instance he had a self powered car and in another he blew out the power in an entire town!

Of course, like 9/11, there are very powerful interests suppressing these ideas because if widely adapted it will destroy the fossil-fuel/petro-dollar paradigm since the energy is abundant and more importantly, FREE.

roo,

Don't accept the goat fucker's bogus analogy. The goat fucker's analogy, like every analogy he tries to pass off as "physics," reduces a critical force to zero. In this case, gravity.

NIST calculated the total Potential Energy (PE) stored in one tower, and arrived at a figure of ~500 GJ.

Given a height of 417 m, duration of collapse 9.2 sec (so-called "free fall"), acceleration of 9.81 m/s^2, velocity of 90.45 m/s, v^2 of 8181.54, KE(final)/PE(initial) of 100%, we get an Energy loss of 0.00.

Given a height of 417 m, duration of collapse 12.0 sec (NIST's value), acceleration of 5.8 m/s^2, velocity of 69.5 m/s, v^2 of 4830.25, KE(final)/PE(initial) of 59%, we get an Energy loss of 41%.

Thus, we find 1.8 GJ of energy per floor (on average), which is more than enough energy to account for the collapse. CD was simply not necessary.

The aforementioned comparison between "free-fall" dynamics and observed phenomenon brings the lie to the goat fucker's alleged knowledge of "kinetics" and "potential energy", (ie.,, Newtonian Mechanics).

Lair. The columns were designed to withstand 5X the forces of gravity, not 30X.

Wikipedia wrote, "...The collapse of the World Trade Center has been called "the most infamous paradigm" of progressive collapse. In the case of both towers, the top section tilted towards the face that had buckled, behaving largely as a solid block separate from the rest of the building. It fell at least one story in freefall and impacted the lower sections with a force equivalent to over thirty times its own weight. This was sufficient to buckle the columns of the story immediately below it; the block then fell freely through the distance of another story. Total collapse was now unavoidable as the process repeated through the entire height of the lower sections."

Christ all fucking mighty, Brian. The evidence you seek is freshman year mechanical engineering. Those welds and rivets in the building could strain on the order of 1 mm before yielding completely. The top block fell on the first bunch of welds with the potential energy of at least 1 floor, i.e. 3 meters. That's a 3000x factor amplifying what was a static load into an unbearable dynamic load.

People believe in conspiracy theories, or junk science for that matter, because they fit existing preconceptions. So, critical thinking is suspended and events made to fit a comfortable theory instead of objective facts being used to develop or support a theory that is consistent with the facts.

So, while debunking distorted 'facts' is useful, it is also productive to deal with the original worldview that spawned the conspiracy theory. In the sad case of this exchange then the question is why do you stil hate George Bush? How is it that after all of the hyperbole about 'dictatorship', Bush stood down from the Presidency on time and then his party lost the election? How is it that the mainstream of the Democratic Party, from the current President down, who have no interest in protecting the Bush legacy, still think that the truthers are 100% wrong?

The truther view of the way US power politics works has been shown to be nonsense. This is why people from Jones on down are bailing. The truther detail doesn't matter because the worldview no longer makes sense. Now, it is just a matter of the truthers either making an orderly queue to a room marked 'sanity' or finding something else to obsess about. Jones has reverted to rubbish, publicity-seeking, non-science for example. It will be interesting to see what the remaining kooks do.
